About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Jordan Pierce, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and currently a student at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I’m pursuing a degree in Marketing with an expected graduation in May 2029.

I’ve always been interested in how ideas turn into something real, whether that’s a business, a brand, or a community. That’s a big reason why I chose marketing. I want to understand how to build something from the ground up and make it successful over time.

My Journey

Growing up, I’ve always been someone who likes to stay active and try new things. I don’t really like staying in one lane. If something looks interesting, I’m going to give it a shot.

That mindset is what pushed me toward business. I know I want to create something of my own one day, and college is helping me build the skills to actually make that happen instead of just talking about it.

Career Goals

My long-term goal is to start and run my own volleyball club. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life, and I want to turn that into something bigger than just playing.

Marketing ties directly into that. Whether it’s building a brand, attracting players, or growing a community, I know those skills will matter when I decide to take that step.

Skills & Strengths

  • Quick learner who adapts easily to new situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills from sports
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to try new things
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Competitive and driven

Interests

Outside of school, I spend a lot of my time doing things I enjoy:

  • Volleyball — this is a big part of who I am
  • Music — I’m planning to start learning piano this summer
  • Gaming — something I do to relax and have fun
  • Trying new hobbies whenever I get the chance

If I could, I’d honestly try everything at least once. I think there’s something interesting in everything, and I like figuring things out as I go.

What Drives Me

I like building toward something. Whether it’s improving at a sport, learning a new skill, or working toward a long-term goal, I’m always trying to move forward.

In the future, I want to create something that’s mine, something that people can be a part of and benefit from. That’s the bigger picture I’m working towards.
